The Retreat House The Retreat House (Childswickham House) dates back to the 1600s and was at one time the local court house. In fact, one of the downstairs bedrooms still has bars across the window from its days as the jail room. The Retreat House has seven bedrooms, five upstairs and two downstairs. The rooms accommodate from two to five guests, and each has tea/coffee making facilities. (Sorry, no ensuite rooms.) The ground floor sitting room seats twelve comfortably, and has tea/coffee making facilities available. There is a DVD player with a selection of DVDs, and a variety of books for you to enjoy during your stay. |
