We welcome you to book in for an evening of good food in beautiful surroundings, for a minimum of 12 guests to a maximum of 60.

First Friday – December – speaker Br Loarne Ferguson

Our First Friday Night Fellowship Meeting for December – the speaker will be Brother Loarne Ferguson.

Brother Loarne will be speaking on the theme “We continued our Journey”

The Saturday morning following will be an Advent retreat day – Contact Us to book in to stay over night.

Br. Loarne was consecrated as a member of the Capuchin Franciscan Order 24 years ago. He is now 48 years old and lives at Greyfriars in Oxford with five other religious brothers. For the last 12 years he has helped to form small groups dedicated to prayer and mission, while also holding the posts of university chaplain and retreat director. Currently he spends much of his time nursing one of the elderly brothers and looking after the Friary.

Key Christian interests: Divine change management for individuals and communities, prophetic ministry, and contemplative life.

Key human interests: creativity & culture, arts & crafts, relationships, food & books.

Jesus promised us He will be coming again,but even He did not know the hour or the day.

We continue to wait, expectantly and in great hope, for His return.

The day will be a day of reflection and prayer,asking God to increase our longing, and showing us how to remain faithful in hope and love as we wait.

You are invited to join us from 10.00am to 4.00pm

Today the men’s breakfast is followed by a Men’s day beginning with tea/coffee at 10.  Lunch is included (contributions toward the cost are invited if you can manage).  The day will finish with drinks around 4pm.

The speakers will be Rabbi Richard Harvey, Tom Gorman and Tony Jones.

We invite you to join the Art Retreat – “Trees of Life”. 

The retreat will be led by Christine Dodd. Christine is a trained spiritual director and experienced retreat giver and the author of several books on spirituality and scripture. For many years Christine was Director for Adult Formation in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hallam, which is centred on Sheffield. Her work involved her in helping adults discover more about their faith and spirituality within parishes, the diocese and nationally.
