David was born in Australia and educated bit in the Far East and the U.K, studying History and Theology at Oxford, and, after a brief spell of teaching, was ordained into the Church of England in 1967.
After 4 years as a curate on a housing estate in Chatham, David worked for six years in South Africa for the Scripture Union in high schools all over the country, followed by eleven years in a multi-racial parish in Cape Town. Returning to the UK in 1989 with his wife and daughters, he became team rector of Newbury and a son was added to the family.
Thirteen years there were followed by eleven years as the vicar of Chipping Campden, and now David is retired and continues to live in the Cotswolds.
After many years of service to God and His people, David will speak from experience of the Adventure of Living, and we know the evening will be one to encourage and inspire us.
